CEME is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Academy of Physician Assistants recognizes AMA PRA Category 1 Credits
According to a reciprocal agreement between the American Academy of Family Physicians and the College of Family Physicians of Canada, CFPC members who attend CME activities that have been accredited by the AAFP for Prescribed credit can claim MAINPRO-M1 credit for interactive activities (group, online, etc.), or MAINPRO-M2 credit for reading/testing.

 

According to the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP), entities authorized to provide continuing education include the AANP, NAPNAP, ANC, ACNM, AMA, AAFP and AAPA. All continuing education offerings should be relevant to the nurse practitioner clinical practice specialty in which the applicant is certified.

 

 

ACCREDITATION INFORMATION - SELF-STUDY PROGRAM

 

This enduring material activity, the National Family Medicine Board Review, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 41 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP accreditation begins February 1, 2010. Term of approval is for two years from this date with option for yearly renewal.

 

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1. The American Academy of Physician Assistants recognizes AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
